1.0 BACKGROUND

The Government of Kenya intends to purchase a chancery for use by its High Commission in London.

2.0 PROPERTY CHARACTERISTIC

a)      Location- The property should be located in a secure accessible area preferably in the area of Central London within the City of Westminster or where other diplomatic missions are located.

b)      Size: A freehold building comprising a total floor space of at least 9,000-12,000 square feet.

c)       External Facilities: This could include secure front parking for at least two (2) vehicles, if not then adequate space should be available to accommodate them.

d)     Services:The property should be well served with infrastructural facilities, connected to main services including electricity and water supply.

 

Preference is for developed property, but vacant land or land that is ready for redevelopment may also be considered.  

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

Through the Kenya High Commission in London, the Government of Kenya invites interested /eligible bidders to forward offers as follows:

a) Technical proposal

Provide details of the property characteristics as provided above, as well as copies of ownership documents and recent official search. Qualifying bidders will be further required to submit survey maps and building plans.

b) Financial proposal

In a separate envelope, bidders should submit the financial bid indicating the offer price and terms of payment.

4.0 CLARIFICATIONS

Interested parties may request for clarifications up to five (5) days before the submission date. Any clarification will be sent in writing by paper mail to Kenya High Commission, 45 Portland Place, London W1B 1AS.

5.0 SUBMISSIONS:

Both the technical and financial bids should be submitted in separate envelopes marked “technical bid” and “financial bid”respectively and should be addressed to:

Or placed in the tender box provided at the Kenya High Commission so as to be received on or before 28th October 2021 at 1600hrs.

 

The bids will be opened  immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders representatives  who choose to attend at the Kenya High Commission offices.

 

The Government of Kenya reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without giving reason thereof.
