Dual Citizenship
According to the Constitution of Kenya and the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act of 2011, the Dual Citizenship is permissible in Kenya. Kenya citizens who have acquired other nationalities are required to disclose their other citizenship by submitting the form available below.

Things to Note:

An application to declare dual citizenship can be submitted concurrently with a passport application.

Those who acquired citizenship of another country after 27th August, 2010 are eligible for dual citizenship

Those who were 22 years and below on 27th August 2010 are eligible for dual citizenship

Those who have regained Kenya citizenship are eligible for dual citizenship

Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be rejected.

Requirements make a declaration as a Dual Citizen
Two dully filled application Form (Click to download).
The form needs to be signed and stamped by a Solicitor/ Commissioner of oaths.
Two passport size photographs
Two copies of Naturalization Certificate
Two copies of applicant’s Kenyan Passport
Two copies of applicants Foreign Passport
Two copies of UK residence permit/visa
Two copies of documentary proof for changed names
Two copies of any other relevant supporting document.
A secure, registered and trackable self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps for the dispatch of their critical documents. The envelope should have sufficient return postage and clearly indicates full names and postcode of the applicant.
