Regaining Kenya citizenship is done by a person who was a citizen of Kenya by birth and who ceased to be a citizen of Kenya because he or she acquired the citizenship of another country before 27th August, 2010.

An application for a passport cannot be submitted concurrently with an application to Regain Kenya citizenship

Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be rejected.

Two passport size photographs
Two copies of Naturalization Certificate
Two copies of applicant’s Kenyan Passport
Two copies of applicants Foreign Passport
Two copies of applicants Birth Certificate
Two copies of parents’ ID/Passport copy
Two copies of documentary proof for changed names
A secure, registered and trackable self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps for the dispatch of their critical documents. The envelope should have sufficient return postage and clearly indicates full names and postcode of the applicant.
