Following the announcement that The Kenya High Commission London will reopen for consular operations from 10th July, 2020, we are pleased to provide detailed guidance and protocols on services.We are grateful for your understanding and cooperation following disruption of delivery of some services, especially those that needed physical presence at our office, since 17th March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic forced us into offering services virtually.
While appreciating the incredible achievements made in containment of the pandemic in the UK, we must all remember that the fight is not yet over, hence the imperative for each and all of us to stay alert and do all we can to prevent reversing the gains made this far.
In line with the Covid-19 containment guidelines provided by the government of the United Kingdom, we wish to inform ALL Visitors that the Mission has put in place the necessary measures to ensure safety and wellbeing of all of us.
Key among the new normal measures is that all clients will be required to wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing protocols at all times while visiting the High Commission.
We therefore urge for your cooperation and compliance.
Our office will be open Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 3.00 p.m.
a) Submission of Passport applications: - Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
b) Submission of Kenya Identity Card applications: - Monday and Tuesday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
The Mission takes cognizance of clients whose appointments were suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak. All suspended appointments from Tuesday 17th March 2020 to Friday 31st July 2020 have now been CANCELLED.
However, clients who had booked appointments for PASSPORTS AND NATIONAL ID CARD BIOMETRICS, within this period, will receive first priority to reschedule their appointments to a suitable date, for a month, beginning Friday 10th July, 2020 to Monday 10th August, 2020. These applicants shall be contacted via email with special instructions.
The system will then be open to other members of the public from who wish to book an appointment at the Mission for PASSPORT AND NATIONAL ID APPLICATION Services from 11 August 2020.
In order to minimize physical contact, please note that for all applications EXCEPT SUBMISSION OF E-PASSPORTS and NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD BIOMETRICS, applicants are urged to submit their applications via post. For procedures and requirements kindly refer to www.kenyahighcom.org.uk.
Only applicants with confirmed APPOINTMENTS shall be admitted into the High Commission premises for services.
For children under the age of 18 years who need to be accompanied, ONLY ONE parent/guardian shall be allowed into the office premises.
Please ensure that your applications are duly fully completed prior to booking of an appointment.
Applicants are also requested to arrive for their appointment on time to enhance smooth and efficient service delivery and avoid the risk of unnecessary crowding. Applicants arriving 15 minutes late will have their appointments rescheduled to another date.
Clients are requested to make adequate arrangements to collect their documents via post as follows:
a)Passport and Identity Card applicants are advised to provide a secure, registered and trackable self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps for dispatch of their critical documents. The envelope should have sufficient return postage and clearly indicated full names and post code of the applicant.
b)For collections of all other documents, please provide clearly self-addressed pre-paid return envelope to facilitate dispatch.
c) For all applications, please provide your full name and postal address, telephone number and emails on the application forms before sending your application by post to facilitate dispatch of processed documents. Please note that it shall be the responsibility of clients to immediately notify us in writing of any changes to their postal address to avoid inconveniences in service delivery.
Please note that our visa services remain suspended until Further Notice.
